07 Jun A Success story : Bimala Ghale
Bimala Ghale is a 37 year old housewife, she lives in the eastern part of Kathmandu with her family in a rented room. Her husband works as a driver and earns NRs. 15000(125.31 USD) per month. They have a son who goes to school at Grade 8. Mrs. Ghale during her free time prefers to volunteer at the church.
During the pandemic, like so many other women she too was having a hard time managing the household expenses. The whole experience seemed traumatic for her and needed counseling and encouragement to have some hope for her family’s future.
She came in to contact with Milijuli Samaj Nepal through her cousin sister. We suggested her to participate in the training as it was targeted for women like her. After the training she was able to make face masks and sanitary pad and was able to sell them and earn a sum of NRS. 990 per day. This earning is helping her pay for her room rent and also support her son’s school fees. She expressed her gratitude to MSN for this opportunity.
