Diana Prabha Pradhan Silwal (President) –
Diana Silwal’s work experience of the date has spanned a variety of challenging leadership and management roles focusing on INGOs and NGO/Local Development Groups capacity building sectors and Private profit-making Companies. She has got a remarkable experience in working in a multicultural team. She was the first Nepali woman to complete her MBA from Henley Management College, UK.
Diana was a part of the Senior Management Team of United Mission to Nepal (UMN) for ten years as NGO Support Project Director and World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) for ten years as a Management Support Department Director. She was involved in developing and implementing appropriate national Strategies, Monitoring, and evaluation of projects, consistent with Partnership and Regional Policies and Guidelines, related to all assigned Support functions. She got the opportunity to work in the Philippines during the Typhoon Emergency Response as a People and Culture Director for a year and HR Director for World Vision International Earthquake Emergency Response. For three years six months, she was involved in profit-making USA companies (Steadfast and STHIR Digital Pvt. Ltd) as a Country Office Manager.
Diana has played a remarkable role in establishing Pratibaddha Milijuli Saving and Credit Cooperative Ltd and Milijuli Samaj Nepal. She is involved in different NGOs and women’s groups. She is the President of EduTech Nepal and active Board Members for Human Development and Community Services (HDCS). She is the life member of YWCA. We are glad to have her as our Chairperson of Milijuli Samaj Nepal.
Sati Shrestha (Vice-President) – Sati Shrestha lives in Kathmandu, Nepal and works in Cooperative as Director to leadership development organizations. Previously she worked for 18 years in United Mission to Nepal During the 1980s; She is one of the Founder Members of Milijuli Samaj Neapl and Pradtipaddha Milijuli Saving and Credit cooperative. She is playing very active role in different NGOs board committee such as SAHAS Shayogi Hatharu ko Samuha Nepal, Centre for Community Development Nepal NGO, Nutrition Promotion Consultant Service and ERDCN NGO.
Amrita Karthak (Secretary)
Amrita Karthak is one of the founder members of Milijuli Samaj Nepal. She served in United Mission to Nepal for one decade in women empowerment program. She has been dedicating her effort for gender equality. She also served in Gyaneswor Church for 10 years as a program coordinator and leading position in church management committee. She has associated with Christian organizations INF Nepal, and local women’s group. She is one of the active members of YWCA Nepal.
Sharada Manandhar (Treasurer)
Proficiency Certificate Level from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Diploma in Secretarial Management Course and served as Secretary/Admin. Assistant during the period with United Mission to Nepal – Nutrition Program for about 10 years. Then did Practical Accounting Training Program (9 weeks) in 2006 and served as Secretary and Admin/Finance Assistant at Nutrition Promotion and Consultancy Service (NPCS) – an NGO established in 2003 as a successor to UMN Nutrition Program till now. Nisha Gurung ( Board Member)
Nisha Gurung has 18 years of work experience in the field of organizational strengthening, NGO partnership, NGO good governance, women empowerment, rural education and disaster response. Currently, she has been working as an independent free-lancer engaging herself in writing fund proposals, translating and editing of reports and training facilitation.
Kalpana Basnet ( Board Member)
Kalpana Basnet a development professional and has been working in the development field for more than 25 years. She is a Program Manager -Good Governance for United Mission to Nepal. She has experiences and expertise on Good Governance, Social Accountability, Organizational Development, Gender, Anti-Human Trafficking and Social Mobilization.
Laxmi Shrestha ( Board Member)
Laxmi Shrestha has been involved in community development for the last 20 years. She has an experience of working for women empowerment, sexual and reproductive health, HIV & AIDS and cooperative management. She has Master’s Degree in Community Health and currently working with Marie Stops International.
